Ear Piercing

Medical ear piercing is performed by trained medical professionals in a sterile environment using medical-grade equipment. It reduces the risk of infection, improper placement, and allergic reactions.

Most dermatology offices use single-use sterile devices or medical-grade piercing systems designed for precise placement and safety. We use hypoallergenic starter earrings suitable for sensitive skin.

The entire visit typically takes 15–20 minutes, including cleaning, marking, piercing, and aftercare instructions.

You may feel a quick pinch or pressure, but the discomfort is brief. Many patients describe it as less painful than a vaccine shot.

Mild redness, slight swelling, or tenderness around the piercing site is normal and usually improves within a few hours.

Clean the area twice daily with the recommended solution. Avoid touching the earrings except during cleaning, Keep the starter earrings in place for the entire healing period. Avoid swimming, dirty environments, and sleeping directly on the new piercing.

You can switch to new earrings after 6–8 weeks, once the piercing has fully healed. Choose hypoallergenic materials such as medical-grade titanium, surgical steel, or 14k+ gold.
