Dr. Livingood grew up in Bethesda, MD, and attended the Maret School in Washington D.C. He graduated from Duke University and then returned home to Washington D.C. to complete his medical school education at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. In medical school, Dr. Livingood finished in the top 5% of his graduating class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society, while also receiving awards as the top Dermatology and Internal Medicine student in his graduating class. Dr. Livingood then completed his dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training.
Dr. Livingood has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and has presented at both a local and national level on a variety of dermatologic subjects. He continues to educate by assisting with the instruction of the dermatology residents at the Georgetown University Division of Dermatology Program.
Dr. Livingood is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of both the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and The Washington D.C. Dermatological Society.
Dr. Livingood lives in Arlington, VA with his wife, Elizabeth, a local pediatrician, and his two young children. When not working, Dr. Livingood enjoys playing and watching sports (go Duke basketball!), traveling, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
