Dr. Ellinor Coyne

Dr. Ellinor Coyne is a board-certified dermatologist and the co-owner of Arlington Dermatology. Dr. Coyne believes strongly in prevention through education, and she makes it her priority to teach her patients about skin care and skin cancer to promote early detection and healthy skin maintenance. She ensures that patients have a thorough understanding of their medical or surgical condition and finds a solution tailored to fit their specific needs. Dr. Coyne selects cosmetic treatments based on the best interests of her patients to help them maintain a vibrant and natural-looking appearance. She values deeply the connections that she develops with her patients and considers those relationships to be one of the most satisfying parts of her practice.

Dr. Coyne graduated from Princeton University with Honors in Chemistry. She then attended New York University Grossman School of Medicine where she was awarded Honors in Dermatology upon graduation. After completing an internal medicine internship at Georgetown University Medstar Washington Hospital Center, she went to Boston University for her dermatology residency where she was selected Chief Resident.

Dr. Coyne has authored articles in leading peer-reviewed dermatology journals, written book chapters in aesthetic dermatology, and presented at national dermatology conferences.  

Dr. Coyne is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of both the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and The Washington D.C. Dermatological Society.  

When not working, Dr. Coyne likes running along the Potomac, trying out new restaurants, dancing to 80’s dance movies, and spending time with her husband, a Northern Virginia native, and three children.
