Katherine Mahdavi, PA-C

Katherine Mahdavi is a board-certified Physician Assistant who is extremely passionate about dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University, and then attended Towson University where she graduated with honors and received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. During her time in the Physician Assistant Program, she completed both an elective clinical rotation and final preceptorship in dermatology. Katherine presented on the topic of molluscum during grand rounds and has written and presented research on how various dermatologic conditions impact mental health and quality of life in pediatric patients.
Katherine is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). Katherine cares for and treats patients of all ages and enjoys partaking in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Areas of interest include skin cancer surveillance, acne, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, warts, skin texture and age-related skin concerns, dyspigmentation, and unwanted hair. With a passion for dermatology for as long as she can remember, Katherine’s goal is for patients to feel confident and comfortable in their skin. She understands the frustrations that can come along with skin-related issues and is dedicated to providing her patients with quality care and individualized treatments plans that meet patients’ own skin health needs.
Katherine grew up in Bethesda, MD and is excited to care for the surrounding community where she was raised. Outside of the office, she is enjoying newlywed life with her husband and their dog, Bear. She also loves travelling, cooking/baking, and dancing!
